Connecting people through the power of history and culture

At War & At Home

The WWII Experience

Experience the History

Step back in time to 1945 and experience what life was like at home and at war during World War II!  This year’s event theme is Survival and explores the remarkable ways people endured the war, from the war efforts at home, to the courage of medics and nurses to the strategies, inventions, and determination that shaped different fronts, times, and places of the war.
Walk through authentic WWII-era military camps, see historic vehicles and materials, and witness live weapons demonstrations that bring history to life. Enjoy hands-on children’s activities, test your knowledge with WWII trivia, and meet living historians ready to share stories and answer your questions.
Hot dogs, brats, chips, and pop/water also available for purchase thanks to the St. Joseph Meat Market and Bernicks.  We will also have cookies donated by the Lakes & Pines Girls Scouts.

When: Saturday, July 11th | 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
When: Sunday, July 12th | 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Where: Stearns County History Museum
