Loe\, MA\, MLS\, is now a genealogy educator\, researcher\, and writer. DESCRIPTION:For this episode of “In the Victory Kitchen with Eric\,” we are taking a look at how soldiers would eat! Collections Curator Eric Cheever shows us how to make a couple of precious eggs go a little further\, something English and American soldiers would do when they got the chance! \nEgg in a Nest (Mock Fried Egg): -2 fresh eggs -water -2 slices fresh bread -bacon grease \nBeat the eggs in a bowl and set aside. Add bacon grease to a warm pan. Cut a hole in the center of two slices of bread\, set aside. Dip one side of each slice of bread in water\, then add to the pan.
