DESCRIPTION:Go back in time with us! Join Stearns History Museum for our annual World War II Living History Event! This TWO day living history weekend will transport the Museum and Plaza back in time to the 1940s. \n\nVisit with re-enactors\nSee authentic military vehicles\nSee weapon demonstrations\nKids activities\n\nration game\nscavenger hunts (with prizes)\n\n\nand more!\n\nMake sure to come by the Museum Plaza on July 9th (10am-4pm) and 10th (11am-4pm). \nWe’ll also be hosting a Hangar Dance at the Whitney Center Saturday Night (July 9) from 7-10pm. SUMMARY:WWII Hangar Dance
DESCRIPTION:Join Stearns History Museum for our WWII Hangar Dance during our Living History Weekend! This event will feature local craft beer\, complimentary treats\, and ’40s Swing Music by Rock City Jazz Band featuring Janelle Kendall and Seams Like Swing. Be sure to dress in your best zoot suit\, uniform\, or seersucker as there will be a prize for best period costume. \nSwing in early (6:30pm) if you’d like to take part in swing dance lessons! All are welcome! \nCost of entry is $10 per person. Bring cash for the bar and don’t forget your dancing shoes! \nFor tickets\, call the Museum at 320.253.8424 or click here to register.
